Its business is civil and building infrastructure.

We have an extensive network of associates that can be tapped into as needed.
BTO provides resources for each particular project package as required; including in-house resources, associates and sub-consultants.
Assembling a team of resources for project delivery is our specialty.
Terry Burns is the Managing Director and the face of BTO.
He started his career with Darwin City Council in 1977, then joined John Holland Constructions, followed by the NTG Department of Transport and Works in the Tennant Creek and Alice Springs regions, and then PMT Partners Pty Ltd in the Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Darwin regions, prior to setting up Matchplay Engineering Services Pty Ltd (Matchplay) in Alice Springs in 1991.
Matchplay moved its head office to Darwin in 1993 principally to fulfil a greater need to provide resources to Government business, as well as many projects in SE Asia being built to Australian standards. BTO was set up in 2005 in Darwin with continuing and increased capacity that Matchplay had been providing to Government and private industry.
The Darwin City Waterfront project is a well-recognised flagship project for Terry and BTO.
